The applicants sought to appeal a decision of Mosman Council to refuse an application to modify a development consent which would have allowed them to construct a dwelling inside the roof of a larger garage on their premises at 58 Shadforth Street, Mosman.
The appeal was dismissed and the application to modify was refused.

Pursuant to s97 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, the applicant appealed a condition imposed by Mosman Council with respect to a development consent for alterations and additions at 25 Bond Street, Mosman. The appeal was allowed in part, with the development application to be approved subject to certain conditions.

ON 6 MAY 2013, the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal in A reference by the Attorney General for the State of New South Wales under s 77(1)(b) of the Crimes (Appeal and Review) Act 2001 re the conviction of Frederick Lincoln McDermott [2013] NSWCCA 102 (6 May 2013) ordered an acquittal of Frederick Lincoln McDermott with respect to his 1947 conviction for murder.

ON THIS DAY in 2013, the United Kingdom Parliament passed the Succession to the Crown Act 2013.
Males born into the Royal Family after 28 October 2011 will not take precedence over females in succession the throne. Royals will no longer lose their right to succession if they marry Catholics.

TODAY, the High Court of Australia will hear the appeal of the decision of the Full Court of the Federal Court in Commonwealth Bank of Australia v Barker [2013] FCAFC 83.
The Court will be asked, for the first time, to consider whether there is an implied term of mutual trust and confidence in employment contracts in Australia.
