Thomas Frederick Bathurst AC was appointed as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of NSW on 1 June 2011. Previously he was President of the Australian Bar Association (2008-10) and NSW Bar Association (2009-11)

His Honour began his legal career as a solicitor in Sydney in 1972. He was appointed as Queen’s Counsel in 1987.
