Justice Blanch | District Court of NSW

The Honourable Reginald Oliver Blanch AM was appointed Chief Judge of the District Court of NSW in 1994. He succeeded Chief Judge Staunton.

Previously, his Honour was the first NSW Director of Public Prosecutions (1987-94).

His Honour graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts (1963) and a Bachelor of Laws (1966).

Justice Blanch retires on 7 August 2014 and will be succeeded by the Honourable Derek Price AM.

His Honour is to take up a position as Chairperson of the Serious Offenders Review Council on 1 September 2014.
